Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-Assisted Treatment
at New Day Recovery Center
To ease you through detox and into ongoing sobriety, we offer medication-assisted treatment. With these personalized services, you can focus on healing and setting yourself up for a healthy long-term recovery. To help support your journey, we accept Well Care KY Medicaid, Kentucky Medicaid plans, and work with a wide variety of private insurances.
What is Medication-Assisted Treatment?
If you’re struggling with addiction to opioids or alcohol, medication-assisted treatment can help alleviate your withdrawal symptoms and prevent relapse, while you continue to learn other positive coping skills. MAT is one of our personalized programs offered at both our locations where you receive a dose of an FDA approved medication that reduces your desire to use. These medications can help curb your cravings and prevent painful withdrawal symptoms — in the case of Suboxone — or block the intended effects of a substance on your brain, as with Vivitrol.
Your medication is administered at specific intervals, as determined by our professionals who will get to know you personally and weigh your needs, goals, and history, to help you maintain sobriety.

Treatment Services
What are the differences between the levels of care?
- Level 3.5 is clinically managed residential services. These services are designed for people with serious psychological or social issues who need 24-hour oversight and are at risk of imminent harm.
- Level 3.1 is clinically managed low-intensity residential treatment. Residential services at this level consist of a setting, such as a group home, where people live. However, treatment is only required for five hours per week, which helps people with different topics, such as relapse management.
How are treatments personalized?
Therapists meet with every new patient to determine their specific needs. A psychiatric nurse practitioner will also determine how to best support your mental health needs while you’re with us.
