Services at New Day Center

Our approach to individualized substance abuse counseling involves us getting to know your needs, goals, and history so we can tailor our care for you. In your private sessions with your counselor, you’ll explore the roots of your addiction, identify your triggers for relapse, and learn coping mechanisms that you can build on and use in all aspects of your life to stay sober.

We use group therapy as part of our unique care model which emphasizes connecting with fellow women in our programs. Our focused group sessions are led by licensed substance abuse counselors who foster a space where you and others in treatment can share openly. Group addiction therapy offers a positive outlet to work on your communication, healing, and interpersonal bonding.

Sustainable recovery requires attempting to mend relationships with family members who were impacted by your substance abuse or who have caused you difficulty in the past. Our family therapy can help you do that, while providing added support like improving how you communicate with your loved ones and educating them on signs of relapse.

Substance use disorder, or addiction, often occurs along with other mental illnesses, such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. We seek to manage all of your mental health with co-occurring disorder treatment or dual diagnosis therapy, which uses proven methods like dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to help you develop skills for a more successful long-term recovery.
